Ce pourrait être une plaisanterie, malheureusement non ! Lu dans le Canard Enchaîné révèle. Le géant américain Cargill, premier fournisseur mondial d’agents de texture et d’émulsifiants pour l’agroalimentaire. Ce produit ne contient que 15% de protéines de lait, le reste des graisses végétales bon marché et des arômes artificiels.
Selon le fabricant, « le produit rappelle les fromages traditionnels à pâte dure tels que le gouda, le cheddar ou le gruyère. Le client y trouve le même plaisir et la même satisfaction« . Cela appelle à minima deux commentaires :
- en opposant fromages traditionnels et « fromage analogue » on laisse supposer que ce produit est du fromage ;
- pour rappeler le gouda, le cheddar et le gruyère il n’y a qu’une solution c’est une absence de goût. Dans ce cas j’aurais plutôt tendance « les fromages industriels et sans goût traditionnels (…) le client y trouve la même insatisfaction ».
L’avantage de ce produit est de coûter 200 fois moins cher que le fromage. Aussi, sans le savoir, sous l’appelation « fromage analogue », nous mangeons, à l’insu de notre plein grès, de ce produit dans des cheeseburgers, lasagnes, quiches, gratin dauphinois… industriels et tout cela pour économiser quelques centimes d’euros.
Tout cela ne fait que renforcer ma conviction qu’il est préférable, pour un budget similaire, de manger différemment avec moins de viande mais des produits de qualités bios, c’est meilleur au goût, meilleur pour notre santé et meilleur pour la planète.
