De plus, elle permettrait de ne pas défavoriser les producteurs européens par rapport aux producteurs extracommunautaires et ainsi de lever les réserves sur la taxe carbone en France. Enfin, on favoriserait la production locale en faisant payer aux transports les coûts de leur empreinte écologique, cela concernerait aussi l’agriculture en rendant plus cher les haricots verts venant de l’hémisphère sud en hiver.
