Les iles ont cette particularité d’être coupés du monde entre le départ du dernier bateau et l’arrivé du premier. Cette sensation est d’autant plus forte que l’ile est petite. C’est pour cette raison que j’aime partir en vacance sur une ile et plus particulièrement l’ile de Groix qui peut-être parcouru à pied (3km sur 8km). Aujourd’hui j’évoquerais les feunteun (fontaines) et douët (lavoirs) de l’ile.
Pourquoi les feunteun et les douëts ? En échangeant avec les habitants de l’ile j’ai appris que les Groisillons n’ont eu l’eau courante qu’au début des années 70s. Avant, les femmes devaient descendre à la fontaine et au lavoir pour faire la lessive.
Pour cela, elles descendaient leur linge sur une brouette et empruntant le chemin conduisant au lavoir.
Quand on regarde les cartes postales, on a l’impression qu’il s’agit d’une autre époque. Mais cela fait moins de quarante ans. C’est la préhistoire pour la génération Internet mais c’est l’enfance de leurs parents. J’ai choisi ce thème car il illustre les dérives de la société de consommation. Certes personne ne souhaiterai revenir à cette époque. Le progrès a permis de libérer la femme et nous devons rester vigilant, comme le souligne Elisabeth Badinter dans son dernier livre « Le conflit, la femme et la mère », à ce que le développement durable ne se fasse pas au détriment des femmes. Mais n’est-on pas allé trop loin ?
