La difficulté quand on est expatrié c’est que l’on est de passage. On est pris entre deux envie et raison, envie de s’installer et savoir que l’on va partir. Cela est particulièrement vrai quand il s’agit de choses qu’on laissera derrière soi. Après avoir hésité un certain temps, je me suis décidé à fleurir ma terrasse. Cela met de la couleur, des odeurs… de la vie et, quand je suis assis là je n’ai plus l’impression d’être de passage, je profite simplement de l’instant.
Outre le plaisir, j’ai soutenu l’Association of People with Disability qui gère la pépinière où j’ai trouvé mes plantes. Elle y fait travailler des personnes handicapées afin de les réinsérer et leur donner une formation qui leur permettra de trouver un travail et les bénéfices réalisés par la pépinière contribue au financement de l’association. L’Inde est le pays qui a le plus grand nombre d’ONG et ce type d’associations est chose courante.
