Aujourd’hui, quand on parle des OGM on ne parle que des OGM transgéniques. Or il existe deux autres sortes d’« OGM cachés » qui échappent aux règles existantes pour les transgéniques : validation, surveillance et étiquetage. Elargissons la lutte et la vigilance à tous les OGM et exigeons que tous les OGM soient à minima soumis aux mêmes principes de précaution.

Les OGM cachés sont très rependus et représentent par exemple 80% des variétés de choux inscrites au catalogue officiel, de même la plupart des colzas et Pioneer s’apprête à mettre sur le marché un tournesol OGM.

Outre la transgénèse, qui consiste à prendre un gène dans un organisme et à le mettre dans un autre, il y a aussi la mutagenèse et fusion cellulaire. La mutagenèse consiste a modifier le génome d’un organisme en le soumettant à une activité chimique ou physique, surtout irradiation. La fusion cellulaire consiste à fusionner de force, par choc électrique par exemple, des génomes de plantes d’espèce différentes. Le concept de barrière d’espèce est bafoué comme avec la transgénèse.

Tous les OGM présentent le même risque environnemental, il est temps de réclamer l’interdiction des OGM, toutes techniques confondues, signez a pétition.

Vous auriez pu citer l’hybridation qui consiste également à modifier le génome d’une plante (crossing-over, mutations aléatoires, etc…). L’homme a toujours cultivé des variétés modifiées génétiquement. Il faut donc amender la pétition et demander l’interdiction de l’agriculture dans son ensemble. Redevenons chasseurs-cueilleurs !

Les OGM posent deux questions :
1. sont-ils bons pour la santé;
2. Sont-ils bons pour la société.
C’est deux questions sont d’ordres radicalement différents. L’une relève de la technique qui est incapable de dire ce qui est bon ou mauvais pour la société. L’autre est d’ordre politique ou moral.
L’ordre technique est incapable de se limité, c’est pourquoi la politique et la morale sont là.

La politique de son côté défini non pas ce qui est bon ou mauvais mais ce qui est permis ou interdit. Comme la technique, l’ordre politique ne peut s’autolimiter. C’est pourquoi il y a la morale.

Concernant les OGM le politique a fixé des limites. Limites qui ne sont pas toujours respectés par les grands groupes. Limites qui ne correspondent pas aux valeurs d’une part croissante de la population qui via des pétitions essaye de faire évoluer le politique.

Pour revenir aux deux questions.
1. sur le plan technique il y a débat entre les experts qui disent que les OGMs ne sont pas dangereux et ceux qui disent le contraire. Qui croire.
2. sur le plan de la société, je pense que les OGMs, tout comme l’agriculture extensive, ne sont pas nécessaire et même contraire au bien-être, bien-vivre.
Aussi pourquoi faire des OGMs ?
